Each year the popularity of the John Smith's Grand National grows from strength to strength and 2012 promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

With top-class racing, new facilities and a fantastic atmosphere the John Smith's Grand National Festival is one of the highlights of the racing season and an event not to be missed.

For first-time racegoers each day of the meeting has something different and unique to offer which creates three days like no other sporting festival. The opening day of the meeting offers quality racing at a relaxed pace, with over 25,000 spectators expected as the anticipation begins to heighten.

Friday 13th April is Ladies' Day and it now attracts more than 55,000 racegoers. Ladies Day at Aintree is an unmissable social occasion, never failing to create a buzz throughout the whole North West region.

Finally, the John Smith's Grand National Day arrives on Saturday 9th April and with it over 70,000 racegoers descend on Aintree eager to sample the sheer magic of a race that is watched by some 600million people worldwide.
